I've been asked if I missed my surfing days. This picture of me taken off of Pismo Beach says it all -- I have retired from surfing!

Greetings -- we had a great turkey day in Portland. Robert Brocke joined us for the Holiday. Here are a few random shots of his visit. We have a shot of our dinner before we served it. A shot of the left overs. There is a shot of me as I make my way to the finish line of a marathon race I ran in Spokane. Another shot shows the sign of a small motel we found. We decided not to stay there for some reason.

We gave up a beautiful ocean view in Laguna Beach. But just look what we traded that view for. Here are a few random shots taken through our windshield when we were parked in an RV park. Pretty good trade, don't you agree? Oh, and for those of you who think I may be missing work, the top picture says it all.

Greetings from Coeur D Alene, Idaho. We have not had a chance to explore this beautiful place so pictures will follow. Out plan is to take a quick over-night trip to Banf, Canada, stay at the world-famous Fairmont Hotel, visit Lake Louise and return home before the cats get tired of waiting for us and leave home. In the meantime, here are some shots of the wild life we encountered on our travels. Also there are two geysers pictured, can you tell which one is Old Faithful in Yellowstone? Finally, be advised, when traveling in Idaho, cowboys and their cows have the right-of-way!

Hello -- here it is October 1st -- just two more days to Jann's Birthday. Yea! We finally broke away from Anaheim and with stops in Las Vegas, Utah and now Idaho, we are heading to Washington, Eastern OR, Thanksgiving in our beloved Portland, and then on to our winter quarters in Pasa Roblis.

Here are some beautiful shots of our wonderful country. You can see why we are so in love with our "Gypsy" life style. Cliff shot from Moab, Utah, the Niagara of the west (Shoshone Falls, ID) the great organ in the Mormon Tabernacle, and finally, a shot showing a typical parking place for our house. Nice scene to wake up to, isn't it. Please enjoy.

Hi Guys -- three more shots of the fabulous Huntington Gardens. Enjoy!

Hello All --- we are finally out of Anaheim. Jann received a clean bill of health and we are good to go. Currently in Moab, UT -- more on that later. Here are some shots we took at the Huntington Garden's in Pasadena. What a beautiful place. If you go, make reservations at the Team Room. Very pleasant and very tasty. Stay tuned for news of our journey though Utah and Idaho.

Here are a couple of shots of Larry's family. Newest member is EJ.
Greetings from Anaheim California. Our trip around the USA has been stalled for the past few months due to Jann's Thyroid cancer. Fortunately, it was a very slow growth variety and surgery and subsequent radiation treatments have eradicated any trace of the disease. Plans are to hit the road right after labor day, travel north and west through Idaho, Nevada, Washington, Oregon and Utah, eventually ending up in our winter quarters, Paso Robles, CA.

Other news -- I attended the O'Connor Family Reunion in Michigan. Great to see my sisters and brothers all healthy on looking younger than last reunion. More news as we travel north and west.

Here are some random shots of some of the camp grounds we have enjoyed. The sunset scene was taken through our front window while we were camping out in Pacifica, CA just south of San Francisco. Enjoy!

Hello All -- we are currently parked in Anaheim, CA. After seeing Quinn and Veronica in their latest theatrical production, we will be off for our cross-country tour. Canada, upper and eastern USA and winter in the South. Stay tuned. In the meantime, here are some shots of Oregon including a visit from our artist friend, Robert Brocke. You can see why we love Oregon -- from summer on the river to full winter -- what a state! Other shots include our two faithful guard cats sitting on our front door step. Also, a shot of my two lovely grand daughters who met me in Las Vegas to celebrate Olivia's 21st birthday as well as my 70th.

Well we are back home in Oregon. We stopped in Eugene long enough to trade in the Kia and Jann's beloved VW Beetle. We now own a brand new Saturn Vue -- much more suited to RV towing than either of the two trade-ins. We will be hanging out in the Portland area for the month of April -- celebrating birthdays (hint, hint) then back to So Cal for the month of May. Then off to see the USA!!! We will travel across the top States (maybe veer into Canada) over to NYC, down South in for the winter. We will make our way back home via the mid-west -- Michigan, Illinois, to see kids and Grand Kids. Pictures are of Jann with the new car, a Peacock that hangs out at the Sam Hill (really) Museum, and the terrifically beautiful MT. Hood and some old fart showing off his 70th birthday loot. Stay tuned for our cross country journey.

Here are three more pix to go with the Casa Grade posting below.

Greetings All -- we have been spending the month of February in Casa Grande AZ, about half way between Tucson and Phoenix. Not a bad place, but we have decided that the desert winds are not for us. Good friend Harold Dickieson from Novi, MI visited for a couple of days and we had a good time. Hal has turned 80 and is still going strong. What an inspiration for me as I will be turning 70 later this year. The pix are from our RV park and the Casa Grande ruins, and a quaint little restaurant in Casa Grande. Next we head back to home base (Portland) for a brief stay. More on the summer plans in my next posting. In the meantime, enjoy the shots of AZ -- including the one that explains why we can spend our full time on the road. So long for now.
