Three more shots from our trip -- Napoleon's Arc --an old mill somewhere in Jolly Old England and Hever Castle where Henry and Ann used to play

Now here's a shot of a pub we enjoyed in Oxford -- note the date it was built -- and we think buildings where Wahington slept are old! Also note the difference in the way the English express things -- they bill themselves as the "Eigth best Inn" our advertising agencies would have billed this as "One of the Top Ten Inns" -- same language, different outlook.

Back from England and France -- and who would have guessed it? The French people were courteous, helpful and polite -- so much for sterotypes. Here are a couple of shots from the trip -- English country side is so green it hurts your eyes. Paris is just as beautiful in person as it is in the movies. We ate lunch in the Eifel Tower and saw Notre Dame -- you really need a week or more in Paris, but we did our best.
We saw Sir Winston Churchill's home and Ann Boelin's summer home -- quite an experience to walk the same halls as Henry VIII and his wives. We are now in the Portland area for the sumnmer so I should be able to catch up on more of adventures -- stay tuned.
